take out spots • Pie pushers
Still hesitant about dining-in at your favorite restaurant? No worries! Most of your favorite spots offer delivery or take-out! Sip, Sip, Spill plans to spill the tea weekly on some of the hottest and yummiest spots in the RDU area!
This week’s Take-Out highlight is Pie Pushers located in downtown Durham. It’s one of my FAVORITE pizza spots in that area, especially if you want good, fast, cheap pizza. If you know me, then you know I love pizza. It doesn’t matter if it’s NY or Chicago style, as long as the ingredients speak to my soul, I’m a happy camper! Did I mention that Pie Pushers uses fresh local ingredients, so every slice is served with the community in mind! Worried about breaking your diet? Pie Pushers is the perfect cheat meal. Their pizza is on the thinner side when it comes to crust, so that means its healthy right?! If you’re not into pizza, they make the best eggplant fries you’ve ever tasted, and their fried Brussel sprouts are super tasty!
Want a slice? Pie Pushers isn’t opened for dine-in services due to COVID, but take-out and delivery are available. Need to get out of the house? Follow their food truck schedule to grab a few slices and a cold soda! Heck, if it was me, I’d pack a picnic blanket and enjoy my slice in the park. Just don’t forget your mask!!
SIP: Their food truck will be happy to come to your job, just have your marketing team to coordinate it!
SIP: The garlic knots are better baked vs fried! They offer vegan and gluten-free options, so everyone leaves with a full belly and happy taste buds!
SPILL: If you plan to dine-in, their restaurant is located on the second floor. This may be less than ideal for some. It’s a quick walk for downtown residents.
