Bedlam Vodka’s Commitment to the Community
In an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, Bedlam partnered with MedPharm and Avazyme to provide quality assured hand sanitizer. Amid unprecedented times, Bedlam Vodka and Graybeard Distillery shifted gears to serve their respective community by supplying such an essential resource for our local hospitals.
“The collective fabric of our community is stepping up in new ways to meet these challenges, and for that we are grateful and humbled,” said Deb Laughery, vice president of Marketing & Communications for WakeMed. “These collaborative efforts allow us to care for those who need us and protect the safety and well-being of our patients and staff. Let’s continue to align resources, talent and compassion as we all respond to this public health crisis.”
The partnership has provided a much needed solution to the sanitizer shortage stifling local hospitals and medical facilities. Not only did they venture off the distillery to get what’s needed to the people, Bedlam has taken it a step further by opening their doors, (figuratively of course)…providing small businesses, and individuals, the opportunity to purchase/pick up sanitizer from the distillery. The Bedlam team has set up shop outside of the distillery distributing sanitizer on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9am-3pm.

Durham's Graybeard Distillery opens hand sanitizer supply to the public - ABC 11 NEWS

Oh, by the way…when you stop in to purchase and pick up sanitizer, grab a couple bottles of Bedlam Vodka. No, not because they’re the Durham vodka brand that came without call when the community could use a hand…it’s just good…and smooth, too.
If you and Bedlam haven’t crossed paths yet, let me give you some insight on Durham’s very own Bedlam Vodka and after which, may fate smile on your union. Bedalm is made from long grain white rice. Distilled once, Filtered once. From grain to glass. Bedlam Vodka is Gluten free and produced right here at home.
Why is this a big deal…
The majority of distilleries purchase a grain neutral spirit made in a separate facility and have it delivered to their respective distillery. Turns out, terms like “handcrafted” and “respect” are thrown around quite loosely!!!
Authentically handcrafted, Bedlam is like no other vodka you’ve tried. The filtration, distillation, and rice give it a unique profile that stands out when hailed against other vodkas. The aroma can be described as subtle sweetness. When it hits your lips, a complex profile; boasting flavors of vanilla and butterscotch. The full-bodied taste with a hint of spice will make your palette dance, yet you’re in for another surprise as it descends: Nearly no burn.
Yep, you heard it here. Chilled Bedlam is unrivaled when faced off with competitors! In our personal opinion, Bedlam is so smooth you can mix it half /half with H2O (to keep the calorie count low but maintain the swag of a smooth sipper, you’re welcome)
Though understood to be true, fortunately you don’t have to take our word for it. Stop in the ABC store and check the NC section, or pull up to the distillery, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9am-3pm. Grab some sanitizer and a bottle of Bedlam; Tell ‘em the talk sent ya’.
P.S. Do us a favor and tag us in a picture with your bottle @TalkofRDU and hashtag #BedlamForNC

The new bottle design features an eye-catching, all-black background and was selected for its ergonomic and mixologist friendly shape. The refreshed design can be seen on bar and store shelves beginning December 2019 and will be available for a limited time.
Our visual brand is such a key component of who we are at Bedlam Vodka,” said Brandon Evans, CEO of Bedlam Vodka. “This new design is representative of who we are and encapsulates the character of Bedlam, which is unapologetically genuine, bold and incredibly smooth.”
