Blacker the Berry is a cultural oasis, a baptism in blackness, a homecoming of sorts coined the Carolina Wine Mixer. These types of experiences are oftentimes reserved for wedding receptions, family reunions, and homecomings, but the #BTB fills you with the same type of energy. Our team provides patrons with a one of a kind destination brunch experience coupled with an environment that cultivates connection as well as expressions of ones culture through music, food and fun.

A blend of soulful sounds spanning the diaspora, a rhythmic blend of Frankie Beverly and Maze, Da Baby, Beyonce, and Burna Boy tickling your soul. Our conductor (DJ) careful curation brings the Blacker the Berry Soundtrack to life.

The natural essence of our innate vitality, magnetic spirits, and connectivity is in full effect when you step foot on the vineyard. Your eyes will dance around the full spectrum of browns, as people pass by flashing their pearly whites from ear to ear. So… #ItsTheEssenceForMe

One to Tupac’s greatest hits says, “some say the blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice, I say the darker the flesh, then the deeper the roots.” These lyrics exemplify the cultural experience being produced by North Carolina’s curators Colton Palmer, James Lunsford, Brint Hayes, and Tim Harrington. Collectively these men put together a plan and executed “Blacker the Berry” in a way that has transformed cultural experiences for young professionals in the Raleigh, Durham areas.
